WorldAutism-jpgThe sphere of autism is one that many of us struggle to comprehend – mostly because the people in that sphere are incredibly gifted (high-performing mental faculties) but that attribute of theirs gets lost in the midst of their limitations from a social context. At times, that leads to people not treating them with the respect and dignity they rightfully deserve.

We want to acknowledge these amazingly gifted people on World Autism Day (April 2) by sharing a music video from an Indian band called The Vintage Taan. “Angel In Me” is meant to serve as a vehicle to spread awareness about Autism. Their band’s initiative is supported by The National Trust of India, ‘Asha’ – A School for Autistic Children (Bangalore), Videocon along with many other schools and enterprises. This video has also been released at The World Autism Day celebrations held on 2nd April, 2013 in New Delhi by the National Trust for Autism and Cerebral Palsy in association with The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
